Hillsborough County PTA
Established in 1924 and organized under the authority of the Florida PTA, the Hillsborough County Council of PTA/PTSA is a team of volunteers dedicated to strengthening local PTAs and PTSAs in Hillsborough County, helping them to work more effectively on behalf of the children in their schools and communities.
Local PTAs and PTSAs join the Council as self-governing bodies, paying dues as prescribed in the Council Bylaws. As a local PTA or PTSA, the HCC PTA/PTSA is your direct line of support! Do not hesitate to call us if we can assist you in any way.
Together, we form a strong, unified voice on behalf of the children in Hillsborough County.
Purpose of PTA
To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standard of home life.

Hillsborough County Public Schools is the 7th largest school district in the nation. We are proud to be home to 4,000 military-connected families in schools across our district.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our military families, especially our youngest heroes – your children, our students. We are dedicated to serving you, as you serve us.
Board Member Dr. Stacy Hahn partnered with local author Athens Pellegrino for a special Storytime Online for military families in December. During the event, Dr. Hahn and Athens shared Mission: My First PCS and Mission: Mistletoe with families.

Registration Will Open for this Year’s Pasco Pathways Expo
Join us on November 14 at River Ridge High School and/or November 17 at Wesley Chapel High School for the annual Pasco Pathways Expo. This is your chance to learn all about school choice and the numerous innovative programs available for Pasco students.
Times for both nights are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with informational sessions scheduled throughout the evening.
The expos will feature informational sessions that cover the general application process for school choice. In addition, many of Pasco County’s world-class schools will showcase their unique educational options like STEM and STEAM magnets, Cambridge Programme, International Baccalaureate, Digital Innovation, Career Pathways, and more. Attendees will also have the chance to learn about Wendell Krinn Technical High School, Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation, and the soon-to-be-opened Angeline Academy of Innovation.

The Duke Energy Great American Teach-In is part of Pasco County Schools’ annual American Education Week celebration. Sponsored by our company since 1994, it’s a special opportunity for you to visit the public school of your choice and share what you know with a new generation.
This year’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. Opportunities are available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. You may choose to stay for an hour or for the whole day! The amount of time you volunteer is determined strictly by what your schedule permits and what the teacher wants to accomplish. Check with your school to find out the date it is holding its Teach-In.
Whatever the length of your visit, you can make a difference. Thousands of previous Teach-In participants have discovered the experience is truly rewarding.

Florida Housing offers down payment and closing cost assistance in the form of a second mortgage loan to assist eligible homebuyers with their down payment and closing costs. Down payment assistance is only available when used with Florida Housing's first mortgage loan. Down payment assistance is NOT available as "stand alone" down payment assistance. Florida Housing offers the following Down Payment Assistance Programs to eligible buyers:
The Florida Assist (FL Assist)
Offers up to $10,000 on FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional Loans.
0%, non-amortizing, deferred second mortgage.
The FL Assist is not forgivable. Repayment is deferred, except in the event of the sale, transfer, satisfaction of the first mortgage, refinancing of the property or until such a time the mortgagor ceases to occupy the property at which time, the Florida Assist will become due and payable, in full.
